"AN OASIS IN PROVENCE"
Our design for Jardin de Villars is inspired by French gardens and traditionally vernacular architecture of the region, creating a contemporary building that seamlessly integrate into the site. We created a series of garden courtyards around the plant life, respecting the locations of existing trees, visible to anyone walking around or within the building.

These spaces continually connect guests to the outdoors while allowing natural light to pour in throughout the building. The main concept of light and voids unifies the various spaces within the building while at the same time creating separation between each program.

The building utilizes local building materials and is purposefully positions to overlook the golf course, capitalizing on the beautiful views as well as the orientation of the south-eastern sun. By positioning programs of the building around the existing landscape, we created a serene, garden-like oasis, a place for people to connect with nature and their deeper selves.
